I then started looking at Deep Sky Objects and was fin ding them as little fuzzy blobs, still very cool. So then I decided to purchase the Meade 4000 series Super Plossl lens set with color & moon filters, then I bought a 3 piece set of Nebula filters. The auto tracking and Go To were working great. I started looking at Jupiter and the Moon with great success. Did you set the scope type to your model in the Autostar 2. I get the MUF error and thats as far as it goes. It was 10 years old but in mint condition. I know there is a utility in the HBX menu to reset the controller, but I cannot get far enough through the startup to get to the menu.

It came with the top of the line Meade tripod, 2 lenses and the 497 upgrade Autostar controller. Started searching and bidding on eBay for a new, telescope and got a great deal on the ETX 90EC.
